After forming in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1969, Daryl Hall & John Oates would go on to build a strong musical career. Only three years after forming, they were signed by Atlantic Records for their debut album Whole Oates, a play on the two artists’ names. Right after their third album, the duo left Atlantic Records for RCA Records. This change would be the start of a series of hits for Hall & Oates.

Throughout their 41 year career, they have had six #1 hits, 16 top 10’s and they sold 13 million albums. Some of the duo’s major hits include Sara Smile, She’s Gone, Rich Girl, Kiss On My List, Private Eyes, and I Can’t Go For That.
